The Desktop studies on tenements E47/2396, E52/2591, E52/2640 and 2641 showed the areas have potential for both Detrital Iron Deposits (DID) and Channel Iron Deposits (CID) (see figures 2-5).
Another significant result of the mapping was the recognition of cemented detrital hematite-goethite outcrops and the presence of pisolitic ironstone gravels which indicate potential for channel iron deposits formed by the weathering and remobilisation of the altered BIF.

Spearhole and Northern Channel Iron ProspectsThe drilling completed in the December 2009 quarter, intersected several Tertiary Channel Iron deposits (CID) which were based on sub-crop of Channel Iron and a very large area of younger, Detrital Channel Iron (DID) with thicknesses from surface ranging from 15 to 35m.
That Tertiary-age, Channel Iron Deposits ("CID") existed on our tenements - and we did that.
In the eastern parts of the Pilbara Mesa development is less prominent and commercial deposits exist in-situ and consist of weathered magnetite (Haematite) such as the Brockman Formation at Mt Whaleback or are represented by iron concentrated through remobilisation in massive Quaternary sedimentary Channel Iron Deposits such as at Yandicoogina.
