Preparations for translocations began in April 1998 when the TESF, in cooperation with the Forest Service, began banding RCW nestlings on the Apalachicola National Forest in northern Florida.
Since beginning his career 1967, as a temporary employee on the Apalachicola National Forest in Florida, Chip has served the National Forests in Vermont, Montana, Virginia, Oregon, Washington, Utah, and at the National Headquarters in Washington, DC.
