Hammond (University of North Carolina Press, 2002), Wilson, as dean, led Texas Southern University's School of Business in 1967 to become the first historically black college or university to earn accreditation from the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
A 1988 study of management education, conducted over three decades, and sponsored by the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business, concluded that most B-schools needed to reassess and enhance their teaching of the "human side" of management with such themes as leadership, communication, people skills and strategy formulation.
The latter was omitted in the fifth and sixth editions but is now reintroduced to reflect the global business environment and to meet accreditation requirements of the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business.
