The KEP project, located in South Africa s Northern Cape province, comprises several works packages including, major earthworks, civil construction and engineering works as well as several structural, mechanical and plate work packages, which ACMS would manage in association with the project execution team.

Government will provide a contribution of Pounds Sterling 180 million as part of an investment partnership for the development of the CSeries aircraft and the location by Bombardier of major work packages at its plant in Northern Ireland.

To lower the cost, changes were made in three work package areas: masonry restoration, painting and HVAC.

Since STORK was announced in June 2008, seven work packages have been introduced combining input from independent and government-funded organisations across the 13 participating EU member states and Iceland.

The Communication Global Work package consolidates and integrates five separate packages into one that includes the aircraft's next generation VHF and HF systems with improved size and weight and a smaller requirement for power; an ARINC 781 satellite communications system with low profile antenna and dual Swift Broadband capabilities; an ACR (avionics communications router) for datalink with ATN (aeronautical telecommunication network) capability a FANS-B (Airbus future air navigation system); the aircraft's audio; and a gatelink system, based on cellular technology.
