General Ellis served in the Army for over 35 years, holding positions of increasing responsibility before retiring as Commanding General of the United States Army Forces Command in July 2004.
Our United States Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) and Army Assistant Chiefs of Staff, Operations/ Plans/Information Engagement (G3/5/7) engineers who work sourcing issues are our implementing agents.
The challenge has always been, as has been the case with much of the Regiment's force structure, that the United States Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) would either have to mobilize the entire command for a contingency or create a derivative unit identification code for a unit that may possess only a portion of the ENCOM's capability.
Representatives from the United States Army Forces Command (FORS-COM); Assistant Chief of Staff, Finance (G-8); Office of the Chief of Engineers (OCE); Human Resources Command; Assistant Chief of Staff, Operations and Plans (G-3); and Assistant Chief of Staff, Personnel (G-1) have been an integral part in assisting the Regiment in transforming to the Modular Engineer Force, and we truly appreciate their support.
