On 21 June, it extended the mandate of the United Nations Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina (UNMIBH) for 12 months, until 2lJune 2001.
UNMIBH, UNMOP extended The Security Council on 19 December extended the United Nations Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina (UNMIBH) until 21 June 1998, with the provision that it be further renewed unless security arrangements being provided by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization-led multinational Stabilization Force (SFOR) changed significantly.
Resolution 1103: UNMBIH increased In order to enable the United Nations Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina (UNMBIH) to monitor, restructure and retrain police in the Brcko area and carry out its mandate under the 1995 General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Dayton Agreement), the Security Council on 31 March increased the Mission's strength by 186 police and 11 civilian personnel.
As it unanimously adopted resolution 1088 (1996), the Council also extended the United Nations Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina (UNMIBH), which included the United Nations civilian police task force - known as IPTF - until 21 December 1997.
