Hexham Spitz are presenting the Fit and Fashionable Show in aid of the Tyne and Wear Autistic Society at 7pm on Friday in the Queen's Hall, followed by GSOH by Peter Drake at 7.
And, at the season's end, the proceeds (currently more than pounds 1,200) will be divided equally between two worthy causes - the Puffin Appeal, which is aimed at raising pounds 2m to fund a respiratory department at Newcastle's Royal Infirmary, and the Tyne and Wear Autistic Society, which helps youngsters with autism and special needs and is based in Sunderland.
