As previously reported, in the Phase III clinical study, ABRAXANE demonstrated a superior response rate with an almost doubling of the reconciled target lesion response rate when compared with the solvent-based Taxol(R).
ABRAXANE( )Clinical Trial Results In the pivotal Phase III clinical trial, ABRAXANE nearly doubled the overall target lesion response rate versus solvent-based paclitaxel (21.
ABRAXANE, consisting only of albumin-bound paclitaxel nanoparticles, is free of toxic solvents and demonstrated a superior response rate with an almost doubling of the reconciled target lesion response rate when compared with the solvent-based Taxol(R) in a prospectively randomized trial of 460 patients with metastatic breast cancer.
This is now supported by the randomized Phase III trial in patients with metastatic breast cancer in which the target lesion response rate was higher with ABRAXANE as compared to TAXOL, and the time to tumor progression was longer in patients treated with ABRAXANE.
In that trial, ABRAXANE demonstrated a superior response rate with an almost doubling of the reconciled target lesion response rate when compared with Taxol([R]) in a prospectively randomized trial of 460 patients with metastatic breast cancer.
Data from the pivotal head-to-head trial results demonstrated that ABRAXANE nearly doubled the overall target lesion response rate versus Taxol(R) and achieved a 37 percent improvement in progression-free survival when compared to Taxol.
