What does SIM stand for?

The result is a product called Systems Insight Manager, which unlike Insight Manager will run on either Windows, Unix or HP-UX servers, and will manage servers running all three operating systems.

It also extends the capabilities of traditional Element Management Schema by complementing and integrating easily with existing management systems, such as HP Systems Insight Manager and IBM Director.

HP supports WS-Management today with its Integrated Lights-Out 2 (iLO 2) technology, allowing users to remotely control server power from HP Systems Insight Manager (HP SIM) and other management clients that conform to the WS-Management standard.
