Converted from a former trolley station, this is now Southern California's largest art gallery and cultural centre, housing more than 30 galleries including the Santa Monica Museum of Art.
The exhibition originated at the Center for Art and Visual Culture at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2002 and traveled to the Tang Museum at Skidmore College, NY; Berkeley Art Museum, CA; the Blaffer Gallery, University of Houston; the Addison Gallery of American Art, Andover; and the Santa Monica Museum of Art, CA.
