The CLA Strategic Oversight Council recently held an open dialogue with the Natural Resources Defense Council in Washington, DC, with particular emphasis on the commitment that both CLA and NRDC share the passage of the reauthorization of the Pesticide Registration Improvement Act (FRIA 3) this year.
After six years of deliberation, the Environmental Protection Agency, the federal pesticide regulator, recently determined that WSDA scientists are generating the kind of water quality data suitable for making pesticide registration decisions.
EPA said it uses Section 6(a) (2) to obtain a variety of information related to pesticide registration decisions, not only information related directly to adverse effects.
