OAGi, which oversees the Open Applications Group Integration Specification (OAGIS) standard, is a non-profit development organization focused on building business language standards for enterprise application interoperability.
To maximize its interoperability with legacy systems and minimize cost of ownership, the MFG/PRO eB2 suite is built on industry standards including Open Applications Group Integration Specification (OAGIS) messaging conventions, Business Object Documents (BODs) and XML.
The OAGi Ready program provides eBusiness software solutions developers with a testing framework that validates conformance with the Open Applications Group Integration Specification (OAGIS), the XML based "Everywhere-to-Everywhere(TM)" integration solution.
The June Interoperability Summit will also focus on the various initiatives underway to define core vocabularies and related best practices for enabling e-business, including: -- UN/CEFACT's eBusiness Transition Working Group (eBTWG) -- ASC X12's E-Business Cross-Industry XML architecture -- OASIS Universal Business Language (UBL) Technical Committee -- Open Applications Group Integration Specification -- OMG's Model Driven Architecture Initiative "We appreciate that it is not realistic to define one best approach or a single library of business documents that will meet everyone's needs," explained Interoperability Summit co-chair, Karen Larkowski, executive vice president of The Standish Group.
As a member of the consortium, STC will incorporate the Open Applications Group Integration Specification (OAGIS) into its eBusiness integration suite, enabling companies to quickly deploy true eBusiness solutions with the assurance of interoperability within and among their enterprises.
As a member, Active Software will leverage the Open Applications Group Integration Specification (OAGIS) as part of its eBusiness integration solutions, providing customers with solutions that can be rapidly implemented with the assurance of interoperability among enterprise applications.
