A report by the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions at Duke University found that nearly the entire fossil fuel-fired power sector likely emits over 25,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide and therefore would be regulated entities under the current House and Senate cap-and-trade proposals, and EPA's proposed greenhouse gas reporting and Clean Air Act tailoring rules.
These were the types of questions asked at a November 2006 workshop convened by the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions at Duke University in conjunction with the Environmental Change and Security Program of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, the Harrison Program on the Future Global Agenda at the University of Maryland, and the Center for Unconventional Security Affairs at the University of California, Irvine.
Stanislaw is an adjunct professor in the Nicholas School of the Environment and Earth Sciences at Duke University, where he is a Member of the Board of Advisors for the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions.
