Tetsuro Fujii of the NTT Network Innovation Laboratories in Japan and colleagues developed a prototype digital cinema system that could store, transmit, and display super-high-definition (SHD) digital motion pictures--consisting of approximately 8 million pixels per still image--which is comparable in quality to 35-mm film.
NTT Network Innovation Laboratories together with NTT Network Service Systems Laboratories will showcase this new system at the National Association of Broadcasters conference in booth #SL2822 at the Las Vegas Convention Center from April 7 to 10, 2003.
