What does NAS stand for?

Santa Clara, California-based HDS was originally set up by Hitachi Ltd and Electronic Data Systems Corp to sell and service Hitachi mainframe and storage product lines, and almost immediately acquired National Advanced Systems Inc from National Semiconductor Corp.

Cady served as a technology and operations executive with KDT Industries and as Director of Systems Integration at National Advanced Systems, a subsidiary of National Semiconductor Corporation.

Sand ended up with a stake in Hitachi's Canadian arm following Hitachi's acquisition of National Advanced Systems, a subsidiary of National Semiconductor Corp, back in September 1989.

Prior to these early stage technology companies, Atam had been the Chief Financial/Administrative Officer for National Advanced Systems and Oracle's U.

Prior to Itron, Humphreys was senior vice president of National Semiconductor's Information Systems Group, and oversaw strategic planning, programs and partnerships for three operating divisions: National Advanced Systems, Microcomputer Products Group and Datachecker.

He had also been the vice president and controller of National Semiconductor's National Advanced Systems mainframe computer and peripheral equipment division, prior to its sale to Hitachi Data Systems, which was then a joint venture between Hitachi Corporation and EDS, where he was also appointed to be their vice president and worldwide controller after National sold the business to them.

Clients included Exabyte, National Advanced Systems, Columbine Systems, AMD and other smaller companies.

The senior management team includes CEO Richard Eppel, whose 30 years of high tech industry experience includes management positions at Anna Technology, I-Bus, National Advanced Systems and Parrallel Computer.
