The Orient/East-Med Corridor connects the maritime interfaces of the North, Baltic, Black and Mediterranean Seas, allowing optimising the use of the ports concerned and the related Motorways of the Sea.
As capital of the North East, Newcastle has excellent transport links allowing the team to travel easily around the world visiting and repairing the ships that sail the motorways of the seas.
The Shoots scheme would also be welcomed by the ports of Cardiff, Newport and Avonmouth as it lies up-river from the freight routes, cruise operations and the proposed EU motorways of the sea linking the Atlantic seaboard, North Sea and the Mediterranean.
