The petitioner informed court that Allied Health Science Faculty was opened to award BSc degrees for paramedical workers, namely nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists, medical laboratory technologists, radiographers, radiotherapists and the undergraduates of the faculty were sent to government hospitals including Peradeniya and Kandy Teaching Hospitals and other government hospitals for the clinical training.
