24, 1999--The Oakland Charter Academy (OCA) announced that two national financial institutions, the Low Income Housing Fund (LIHF) and the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), have come together in order to co-approve a loan to complete improvements on the school's new site.
In recent years, the Fund has contributed generously to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Wheaton College, On Lok Senior Health Services, the Golden Gate Park Association, the Spanish Speaking Unity Council, the Jewish Community Federation, Congregation Emanu-El, the United Way of the Bay Area, Glide Memorial Church, the Low Income Housing Fund, the San Francisco and Alameda County food banks and several hundred other organizations serving those in need living in the Bay Area.
