Therefore, the Latin American and Caribbean Women's Health Network issues this urgent call to its members to support its rejection of this serious act and to send messages of solidarity to our sisters in the Dominican Republic who have been working together in the Foro de Mujeres por la Reforma Constitucional (Women's Forum for Constitutional Reform), with the objective of halting this fundamentalist onslaught by conservative political forces and religious sectors.
This publication hopes to compliment the efforts of the Latin American and Caribbean Women's Health Network to combat violence against women, which include the activism campaign on November 25, International Day Against Violence Against Women.
