Joint business council Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have felt the pressing need that more interaction was required at the level of the business communities to bring qualitative and quantitative improvement in balanced trade.
The Saudi Arabian delegation, all members of the Saudi British Joint Business Council, covered a broad range of sectors, including oil and gas, petrochemicals, power, water, IT, security systems, construction, infrastructure, environmental technology and transport.
The private sector in the two countries should promote these relations to meet the level of aspirations, he said, adding that the Joint Business Council should assist the private sector in both the countries, facilitate exchange of information, avail investment opportunities, eliminate barriers that could hinder promoting exchange and partnership in various trade, economic and industrial spheres.
The Joint Business Council (JBC), which has promoted north-south cooperation for 15 years, said it was a major development.
The meeting was attended by the head of the US representatives at the Bahraini-US Joint Business Council James Godak.
