It was decided that the Sixth Committee would convene (49/52) as a working group a meeting from 7 to 25 October 1996 to elaborate a framework convention on the law of the non-navigational uses of international watercourses, based on draft articles adopted by the International Law Commission (ILC) in light of Member States' written comments, as well as views expressed during the current Assembly session.
