SAN FRANCISCO -- The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, The Institute for Johns Hopkins Nursing and the National Fibromyalgia Association announced today the launch of the Fibromyalgia Circle of Care Initiative at the ACR/ARHP Annual Scientific Meeting, October 24-29, 2008 in San Francisco.
The collaboration between The American College of Cardiology, the Association of Black Cardiologists, the National Kidney Foundation, Joslin Diabetes Center, The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and The Institute for Johns Hopkins Nursing will focus on cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity and chronic kidney disease (CKD) - conditions with consistently higher rates of morbidity and mortality among ethnic patients.
