SEATTLE -- The University of Washington's Image Computing Systems Laboratory (UW ICSL) today launched a Video/Image Computing Library for the high performance TMS320C64x digital signal processor (DSP) family from Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI).
The image processor, jointly developed by the UW Image Computing Systems Laboratory and by Siemens Ultrasound Group, can perform more than four billion operations per second and matches the power of 40 high-end Pentium processors.
