US-based technology provider Cisco has announced that TeliaSonera Sweden is deploying a point-to-point fibre-optic network based on Cisco IP next generation network (IP NGN) equipment, making it possible to deliver symmetrical broadband services at up to 100Mbps directly to homes and businesses.
The network, which is being designed and implemented by Intracom Telecom, employs Cisco fibre-optic and routing technologies over an IP next generation network (NGN) architecture.
