The council will focus its activities on four primary areas: * Effective and rapid dissemination of threat and incident information to and from the government through the industry's Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (PS/ISAC) * Crisis management and response coordination to enable communication across the financial services sector in the event of a regional or national disaster * Outreach and organizational engagement to ensure that all institutions within the sector understand the industry's critical infrastructure and homeland security objectives and responsibilities.
The Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC), a non-profit, member-owned organization that is the only industry forum for collaboration on critical security threats facing the financial services sector, has unveiled its 2009 professional training and certification initiative.
He is the chairman of the Internet Security Alliance and sits on the Board of Directors for the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center.

About FS/ISAC The mission of the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Centers Council (FS/ISAC) is to improve the cyber and physical security of the financial services critical infrastructure by establishing and maintaining a framework for valuable interaction between its 1,700+ member organizations.
The five critical issues identified in the Agenda are: --Strengthening the financial system's core components by implementing the rigorous standards of the Interagency Sound Practices paper; --Creating a more structured and coordinated approach to testing efforts; --Promoting industry-wide standards for business continuity and resilience; --Expanding the membership of the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS/ISAC), and outreach and education efforts; --Identifying and testing critical interdependencies between financial services and other sectors.
