What does ERU stand for?

JI is a mechanism that allows the generation of credits known as Emission Reduction Units (ERU) from projects within annex one counties, whereas the CDM allows the generation of CERs from projects within non annex one countries.

The 'credits' arising from emission reductions achieved using JI projects are called emission reduction units (ERUs).
