What does CI stand for?

In the lab of Rebecca Gast, a microbial ecologist at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, we're using DNA-based molecular methods to count indicator organisms in beach sands and see how their numbers compare in different parts of beaches and over the course of the summer.
