COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Electric Power , through a recently signed agreement with the Consortium for Electric Reliability Technology Solutions (CERTS) at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, will research, test and evaluate distributed energy resources and the integration of these resources into the nation's electricity grid.
Department of Energy and the California Energy Commission, the California Independent System Operator (ISO) and the Consortium for Electric Reliability Technology Solutions (CERTS), are testing a variety of high tech tools that increase "visibility" for grid operators, giving them key information about their own systems as well as adjacent power systems.
