What does CGP stand for?

Following the November QSAS workshops, all July QSAS workshop attendees will sit for the accreditation exam to become "QSAS - CERTIFIED GREEN PROFESSIONAL A" 25 November 2009 from 8 am till 12 30 pm, at BARWA Knowledge Building at D-Ring Road.

Builders may also attain Certified Green Professional status through a course of training offered by the NAHB.

Among the features are instructional videos, a database of Certified Green Professionals, and a list of the financial incentives available from the federal and state governments and utilities.

All the participants, especially QSAS - CERTIFIED GREEN PROFESSIONAL A" will undergo training on procedures and the use of measuring tools, as well as practical advice on directing the consultants successfully through the different stages of the assessment.

Less than five months after its introduction, nearly 800 builders, remodelers and other industry professionals have earned the Certified Green Professional designation from the National Association of Home Builders.

For lenders, the GreenLending Specialist[TM] designation will provide credibility and access to thousands of like-minded green professionals such as: National Association of Home Builders[R] (NAHB) Certified Green Professionals (CGPs), National Association of Realtors[R] (NAR) GREEN designees, United States Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED APs, EcoBroker[R]s and hundreds of other regional and local green building professionals.

Building professionals will also learn about the new ANSI National Green Building Standard and the NAHB National Green Building Program, and will be able to work towards earning the new Certified Green Professional Designation.
