The House and Senate are set to vote on a bill that includes a $40 billion borrowing authority for the Central Liquidity Facility.
A House subcommittee has recommended that the Central Liquidity Facility borrowing authority be set at $40 billion and not subject to a cap.
Sources close to the discussions said congressional staffers opposed proposals to finance the corporate rescue plan through the Central Liquidity Facility or to change accounting procedures.
