On March 31 this year, TCL went to the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) to challenge Caricom's decision.

Where does the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) fit in all of this?
The court system is made up of several Magistrate Courts, a Supreme Court, and a Court of Appeals with final appeal being to the The Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) which replaces the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council as the court of last instance for members of the Caribbean Community (Caricom) and will also serve as an appeal court in both civil and criminal cases from common law courts in these member states.
Because the revised treaty requires a uniform interpretation and application of its provisions, 12 of the 15 CARICOM countries--Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Dominica and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines--have signed the Agreement Establishing the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ).
It is not a condition that would instil serious, legitimate international investors with confidence in either the investment climate or the legal system, especially in view of the proposed Caribbean Court of Justice.
