National survey reveals overwhelming support for renewable energy policies The results of a national survey of 1,000 Australians, conducted in August 2003 for the Australian Wind Energy Association (AusWEA), have found that 95 per cent of respondents supported the use of wind power with 91 per cent responding that it was more important to build wind farms for electricity than avoid building them in rural Australia.
