The annual report is a collaboration of the American Cancer Society, National Cancer Institute, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and North American Association of Central Cancer Registries.
North American Association of Central Cancer Registries audits have estimated the completeness of overall cancer case ascertainment for the time period 1990 to 1994 to be 99%.
They have successfully passed audits conducted by multiple Central Cancer Registries throughout the United States, as well as audits by the North American Association of Central Cancer Registries.
