Byline: pinto03 The Federal Government has injected over N7 billion for the provision of facilities for effective delivery of air navigation services by Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), as part of measures to make the nation's airspace safer.

This summit delivers critical information to senior decision-makers and officials from airlines and aviation companies, ANSPs, government agencies, civil aviation authorities, military representatives and regulators, tackling issues related to airspace management, airspace congestion, military/civil coordination, air traffic controllers' training programmes and technologies for optimising air traffic control.

Its coordination and integration with the Air Force's control and reporting center, Balad Air Base, Iraq; the Marine's tactical air operations center, al Assad, Iraq; and theater air defense airspace management systems is critical for successful airspace management and deconfliction.

As part of that transition, a concept of airspace management in the battlespace is being developed by the Air Force Research Laboratory / Rome Research Site (AFRL/RRS) Requirements and Operations Division.

In addition, the Regional Aerospace Initiative is designed to enhance civil/military airspace management and establish an air sovereignty system throughout Central and Eastern Europe.

More than 150 experts from major airlines, airframe manufacturers, airports and air traffic management organizations will share information about advanced navigation and airspace management techniques that are helping the aviation industry save fuel, cut carbon emissions, reduce noise and untangle traffic congestion in busy airspace.
