The workshop, which lasted for more than a week, also included field tours and business visits to the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development; Mubadala; the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah; Higher Corporation of Specialized Economic Zones in Abu Dhabi; Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar); the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) headquarters in Abu Dhabi; Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority; Jebel Ali Free Zone; Tourism Development Authority; Dubai Export Development Corporation; and the Judicial Training and Studies Institute, among other economic, service and trade bodies.
The minister further referred to the impressive initiatives launched by the Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company Masdar which have made Abu Dhabi an international role model in the field of renewable energy.
Ms al Marashi, together with Carl Sheldon, the general counsel and deputy general manager of Taqa Abu Dhabi National Energy, and Sultan al Jaber, chief executive of Masdar, the Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, took part in the UN s Leadership Forum on Climate Change in Manhattan.
